Is it hawaii paris italy mexico japan new york london or other?

This is an easy one. Vietnam is the new place to go. The country is absolutely beautiful. With miles of white sand beaches, cool mountain hideaways, Great city night life and cozy country inns. It’s very inexpensive. You can get nice hotel rooms for $10 and beer is 15 cents a glass. The people are wonderful. I have traveled just about everywhere and I ended up buying a home here because I like it so much. Flights from almost any where are around $1000 USD. You more than make up the difference with the inexpensive lodging etc. Also, you are close to Thailand, Cambodia , (Angkor Wat) Lao, Hong Kong, A ticket to Kuala Lumpur is about $50, Lots to do and plenty to see. Check it out.
You will never regret it if you come to Vietnam. . Great food, amazingly wonderful people. We stopped our bikes at the end of the road by the river the other day. Out in the middle of no where. In minutes we were surrounded by kids saying "hello, Where you from?" the mothers came out a few minutes later and they are bringing out food and laughing. A few minutes later the men came out bringing the rice wine. We had a full on party going and didn't understand much of what was going on. But… we knew that they were really friendly and they treated us like Rock Stars. Just amazing. Don't miss Vietnam. It will be your best trip ever. I promise.

Trying to decide where to go on vacation at the end of June, would like to go somewhere where I can be active?

Posted by admin on October 26th, 2008 and filed under london paris vacation | 3 Comments »

Factors, but not deciding factors:-not too big of a city because as I said I would like to do outdoor things and would not like it to be too expensive (ex. I imagine London or Paris would be very expensive)
-An interesting local history
-not to cold/rainy
-Outdoor activities I would like to do/be available to do: mountain biking, snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, etc.
-Different culture than western/canadian–>(which is not all that important to me)

Places I'm choosing between–must be at or near, thank you:
-Hawaii: Honolulu, Kona, Maui
-Ireland: Shannon, Dublin
-Tel Aviv
-London
-Paris
-Rome
-Munich
-Frankfurt
-Seattle
-Newfoundland: St. John's
-Cuba
-Caracas
-Cuba: Havana
-Mexico: Cancun, Puerto Vallarta
-San Fransico
-Denver
-Washington, D.C.
-Chicago
-Bogota
-Lima
-Atlanta
-Anchorage
-Boston
-Phoenix
-Dallas/Fort Worth

Thank you, any comments/answers will be helpful, even if you don't have an exact answer, coments will be helpful!

Well, if you want to go somewhere that is a bit different from Canada, I would strongly suggest that you come visit Hong Kong. It is a wonderful city as well as a fantastic central point from which to explore other parts of Asia. Also, there are english translations to almost all signage and a good portion of the population speaks at least some english, so it is very easy to get around. We have one of the most low cost, extensive, easy to use, and efficient public transport systems in the world. Also, we have many sights to see in the city - and outside of the city in the countryside - and that includes lots of ocean activities. We have world class hotels and restaurants as well as all the shopping you can imagine. Furthermore, we have temples and things like that that western tourists seem to like a lot.

Come visit http://www.RSTNL.com for links to some great websites that will help you get acquainted with Hong Kong and help you get started with your trip planning.

Hey!
Wow, how exciting! I'm going to Europe next summer, too!
Well, you have to be carefull dressing super cute and having flashy purses because truth be told you will look American and thats a perfect target for theives. I don't want to sound paranoid, but just don't overdue on the glitz and glam if your just going to the supermarket! For the opera, dress as fancy as you want, as long as you hide your purse, lol.
Here are a few great reusable outfits you might like!!!! They can be for several different ages, including late teens and women in their twenties! Oh, it's gonna be pretty chilly there and probably rainy (maybe)!!! Lol.
Here they are!

im going to london, paris, amsterdam and brussels. i need help packing! i need several outfits (as in a lot! if possible) with the same item….so for instance use one skirt in two or three outfits or a tee in a outfit or two. i have to pack lightly no big suitcases so that means i need to reuse some things. please help me! i need help! i like abercrombie, holiister, jcrew, ae….i like lots of stuff….ill go for anything! i also need sling over purses to carry essentials like money and neccesities. i only really need one sling over though. please help! remember reuse! pack lightly! please and thank you!
oh and please…after seeing three of my answers…please actually make me outfits! like links and stuff…is kinda what im looking for….thanks! that'd be great!

well in europe the look right now is sort of high end….but a lot of people are buying second hand and making their own stuff too. they dont wear colors as bright as we do over here. H&M is a good store to shop at if you dont have much to spend, its popular over there too, so you can buy it here, wear it there, and not look out of place. think of the weather. make sure youve got some long sleeve stuff, some short sleeve stuff, some shorts, and some pants so no matter what the weather your coverd. try to find a jacket that looks good with everything so you only have to pack one. comfy shoes are a MUST!!!!!!! you always end up doing more walking than you think your gonna. oh, and this isnt a fashion item, but DONT FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!!

Teens, how much spending money do you usually bring with you on vacation?

Posted by admin on October 21st, 2008 and filed under london paris vacation | 6 Comments »

i'm asking for those mainly aged 13-16
i'm 14, almost 15.
and i'm going on a vacation to florida this summer, then london and paris next spring, and i'm just wondering how much money you usually bring?
i'm thinking around $600 for florida and around $1200-$1500 for europe, but i'm afraid that won't be near enough.
but, other than allowance and sometimes babysitting, i don't really have much of a steady income coming in, obviously.. :P
so it would be hard for me to get much more than that.

Behave!How spoiled are you?

Second city from Amsterdam for 10 day total Euro Vacation??

Posted by admin on October 20th, 2008 and filed under london paris vacation | 3 Comments »

I'll be in Amsterdam for five days in late September. I'd like to travel to another city via either a direct flight or train. Any suggestions? Given I'm from the US, a non-Euro currency country would be preferable (I'd love to do London or Paris again, but they're too expensive). I've seen a great deal of Europe (toured Italy, Spain, Germany and parts of Eastern Europe extensively), so a slightly more obscure location would be great. Thanks.

The closest non-Euro currency country to Amsterdam after Britain is Denmark.
Capital Copenhagen.
Great city. You can have a realy nice time there.

European vacation advice!?

Posted by admin on October 19th, 2008 and filed under london paris vacation | 4 Comments »

Who did you guys use to book your vacations? What was your experience with them? We want to hit London, Paris, and Rome. We have run into hundreds of companies who plan your whole vacation (air, tours, hotel…), and it's hard to pick one. Any help would be great. Thanks so much:-)
We'll most likely leave from San Francisco.

Go by yourself (with friend(s)) and get to know the people directly. Don't use a travel agency that is driving you around on a schedule. You will get the "tourist view" of things and not the real one.

That would be my advice. Doing it that way lets you getting to know the people and culture much better. You are also not bound to a schedule. You can stay longer somewhere if you like it or leave earlier if you don't. Make sure that your tickets (if you fly within Europe) are flexible and allow change.

I would also add Greece to the list, you won't regret it.

P.s. depending how old you are and how long your trip is, does it maybe make sense to get a EuroTicket that allows you to travel within Europe (Train) free or for a discounted rate.
