im doing a scrapbook on my recent vacation to paris, london, scotland and ireland. as i am a begginner scrapbooker i am a bit stuck and im not too sure how too start the scrapbook. i went to my local scrapbooking store and picked up some great things (stickers that say france and london, travel 12 by 12 papers etc) if anyone knows any good sites that show layouts of overseas traveling that would be great:) or just any ideas that could help me out would be greatly appreciated too!
thanks alot, and have a great day!
My fav. subject!
First layout the pictures in the order you'll want to view them in the book. You don't want to be flipping between pics. while you're trying to create your pages.
If you're going to become a scrap-a-holic, then you must go out and purchase some added deco's. I love using stamps, stencils, and die cuts. Some die-cuts (if easy enough) I will trace on my own paper then cut and re-use the original again. I feel that if you want to invest, the above extra's go a long way. Great places to get these are Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Wal-mart. Some scrap stores are over rated, in return you pay more.
Don't over crowd the pages but don't leave them staring blank back at ya. Layout a couple of pages (without taping) and move the pics and deco's around to get different looks.
I could go on and on. What can I say, I live for this hobby. You can totally express yourself!!!
Enjoy!!!!

One way of doing it, would be to go ahead and buy a scrap book, or even maybe a photo book, and start there. Then go to your nearest Staples or Office Depot, Wal-Mart, and buy these type of stencils, that rub off and stick to surfaces like paper or whatever. They come in different fonts. And you could start by labeling your pages of what countries you were at, etc. We don't quite know how else to describe it, other than they are stencils. Then too, besides that, you can decorate your individual pages, however you want to via some color by crayon, or whatever you feel works best. That's our answer.

there are lots of sites with galleries, where members upload their layouts. Do a search for scrapbook(ing) layouts. Scrapbook.com has a huge gallery. they have a theme and then choose travel and vacation. I don't know if there are any overseas layouts but it might give you inspiration? Hope that helped

Check around your area for any scrapbooking stores. They might have some classes you can take. You can also borrow some of their tools.
Gather your items together and sort them into "themes", i.e., London, certain places in London, Paris, certain places in Paris. Do the pictures bring back any memories of what you were doing at that time? Write them down so you can add them to your pages. Also, did you get any postcards? You can use them, too! Do you have any souveniers? Add them to your pages, too.
As other posters have stated, the internet has a wealth of information and designs on creating scrapbook pages. Don't worry if your page won't turn out like others. This is your book and your memories. Good luck!

The number one scrapbooking website out there is http://www. twopeasinabucket.com.
Look at the layouts (pages) in the Gallery there and you will get lots of ideas.
My travel album is here http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/album_display.asp?album_id=6925 - but I have only travelled locally in my own country not overseas. You might get some ideas all the same.
