my girlfriend is a indonesian citizen but has been living in paris for the past 2 years on a family visa. I am a us citizen and I want her to come here to visit. Will her french visa help her chances of getting a us tourist visa? Should she say she is coming to see me, I can sponsor her or should she just say she is going for a vacation and have a paid round trip ticket and a hotel reservation.
The French status won't have much effect. She should be honest about the fact that she is going to visit you, how long she plans to stay, and about her current living/job situation. So long as she really is just coming to visit she shouldn't have a problem.
